Online Middle School
Acellus Academy’s online middle school program is designed to build on the foundational skills students developed in elementary school. The curriculum includes core subjects such as mathematics, language arts and reading, science, history and social studies, as well as health and physical education.
Students study online using Acellus Gold, a revolutionary learning platform that accelerates learning. One of its key features is Vectored Instruction®—a powerful technology that identifies and addresses gaps in a student’s understanding. Before advancing to the next grade level, each student must demonstrate a solid understanding of all key concepts. This personalized approach, combined with engaging HD video lessons and interactive course materials, creates a highly effective and customized learning experience.
Self-Paced Courses
Each course is self-paced, allowing students to spend extra time as needed to master each lesson concept. Families have the flexibility to plan and adjust their schedule as needed.
Year-Round Enrollment
Students may enroll in Acellus Academy at any time during the year. After enrolling, students will start at the beginning of each course and begin making their way toward graduation.

Who Can Participate?
The Scholarship Program is available to all Acellus Academy students. To receive the special tuition rate, students must agree to tune-in to the weekly lecture. Students who have a schedule conflict and are not able to watch live may watch the recorded lecture later in the week.
Frequently Asked Questions by Parents of Middle School Students:
Are parents expected to grade the work?
Parents are not required to grade their student’s work. Student scores and progress are easily viewable to parents through the parent interface. Because the student is working from home, parents are responsible for supervising the learning experience and for ensuring attendance and progress within the program.
Will everything for the program be provided online?
All of our middle school course content is delivered online. There is no need to purchase additional textbooks. Please note that students will need a computer or device that has Internet access. Parents should also purchase basic school supplies, such as pencils, paper, etc.
Do students get time off for holidays/breaks?
Because Acellus is self-paced, you can plan breaks and vacations for your student’s middle schooling schedule. On days when your student does not log in, we will assume that you have excused them for that day and they will not be considered absent and their grade will not be impacted. We give credit based on mastery of the course material. To keep your student on track, weekly progress goals are assigned in each class. It is important for your student to meet or exceed these goals so that they do not fall behind.
Your student’s attendance report will be marked green on days when they attend, and when they do not log in the attendance will be left blank.
How soon can my student start?
The enrollment process is completed online and only takes a few minutes. Once a student has been enrolled, they can begin immediately. There is no waiting period. You’ll receive the student’s login information as soon as you complete the enrollment process. Enroll now!
