Twelfth Grade Overview
Twelfth grade is an important time for high school students as they decide their next steps after graduation. Acellus Academy is an accredited online school. Therefore, once 12th graders complete all the necessary credit requirements, they will graduate from our online program with a high school diploma. We recommend that parents collaborate with their students to create a high school education plan to ensure that they are on track to meeting all the requirements while taking courses that excite them.
Acellus Academy offers a variety of courses in career and technical education that allow students to explore potential career opportunities. In addition to these courses, twelfth-grade students can pick from a list of subjects, including mathematics, language arts, science, history and social studies, foreign languages, and health. Acellus Academy’s goal is to create a safe learning environment with courses the spur excitement and curiosity around learning. Students learn on their own about topics they find interesting.

Subjects Offered in Acellus Academy’s Online 12th Grade Program
In order to make sure students are meeting specific milestones for each class, we have detailed objectives for each course. Students must master concepts before progressing to more difficult lessons, units, or even courses. This process prevents students from falling behind or being confused in a more difficult course because they don’t have the required background knowledge.
Acellus Academy provides students with different course levels, including honors and advanced placement for students who excel in a certain subject. Extra help videos and resources are integrated into the curriculum to give students extra assistance when necessary, as well. 12th Grade Course Structure
All of our online courses are made up of interesting lecture videos and interactive course materials. Students complete practice problems, assignments, and exams, and hands-on projects and activities, such as essays, research projects, and experiments. A variety of coursework lets students apply the concepts using a variety of learning techniques.
Acellus Academy has created a variety of tools that give each student a personalized learning experience that is best suited for their preferred learning methods. The Acellus Learning Accelerator gives students the opportunity to work at their own pace and progress through lessons as they feel comfortable.
The Acellus app provides a student interface that provides course materials, video lessons, and additional resources for students. The app lets students complete coursework or attend class anytime they have Internet access.

Creating a High School Education Plan
Acellus Academy recommends that our online high school students work with their parents to create an education plan to make sure they are meeting all graduation requirements while taking courses they enjoy. A high school education plan includes a strategy for courses to take, graduation pathway, college or career planning, and tuition and fees. This is a great resource for parents and students alike. High school education plans do not take long to create and can be edited and changed as necessary.
Enrolling Your 12th Grade Student in Acellus Academy
Acellus Academy has an open-enrollment policy, which means we accept students 12 months a year. Once families complete the admissions process, students can begin classes immediately.

Acellus Academy Advanced Placement (AP) courses have been audited and approved by the College Board. For a listing of approved courses, please select the option below.
NCAA APPROVED COURSES
Acellus Academy core courses have been reviewed and approved by NCAA. For a listing of eligible Acellus Academy courses, please visit the NCAA Eligibility Center.
ACCREDITED BY WASC
Acellus Academy is Fully Accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Schools, Western Association of Schools and Colleges – a regional accreditation agency.
Self-Paced
Each course is self-paced, allowing students to spend extra time as needed to master each lesson concept. Families have the flexibility to plan and adjust their schedule as needed.
Year-Round Enrollment
Students may enroll in Acellus Academy at any time during the year. After enrolling, students will start at the beginning of each course and begin making their way toward graduation.
Credit Recovery
Courses may be taken for credit recovery by students who didn’t pass a course on their first attempt. Acellus courses are designed to find and fill learning gaps to help students earn a passing grade.
