A Message from our Education Director

Dear Parents and Students,

It is a pleasure to welcome each of you to Acellus Academy.

I would like to take just a moment and explain the reasoning behind our rigid rules and requirements for receiving a high school diploma from Acellus Academy. Our program was created so that students who enroll in our web-learning courses would have the recognition they deserve and be able to seek admission to universities or the U.S. military.

One of the reasons why our courses are so rigorous is because we want students to qualify for the most stringent admission requirements of major colleges and universities. One university that has made a formal program of assessing high school courses to ensure students have the rigor and the training needed to succeed in college is the University of California. We participated in their program and obtained their A-G Approval for 55 of our online high school courses.

Another reason we offer such rigorous courses is to help students qualify for participation in the Advanced Placement (AP) program offered by College Board. This program gives students the opportunity to earn college credit while still in high school. To ensure that our AP courses provide sufficient depth for college-level studies, we underwent the process to have our AP courses audited and approved by College Board.

Our goal in developing the educational programs of Acellus Academy is to give students the greatest opportunity for success in their future studies, career, and life.

Thank you for being a part of our web-learning school community.

Best wishes,

Dr. Kevin Baker, Education Director
